The University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin) has installed a fully integrated high-fidelity Cruden driving simulator to facilitate ground-breaking academic research into autonomous driving systems. The Cruden AS1 motion-based, driver-in-the-loop simulator adds human driver input to the university’s existing hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test set-up that uses dSPACE SCALEXIO modular real-time hardware simulation system and the dSPACE ASM vehicle and traffic model.
